The intermittent suspension fault reoccurred. This time we were on holiday so we called Land Rover Assist. A technician armed with a lap top decided the fault lay in the 'Overlay Harness'. A local dealer ship replaced this. After driving only 15 miles or so the red suspension alarm was coming in and out, the vehicle was dropping down at the passenger side front, combined with the vehicle pulling to the left, then recovering until the compressor overheating & do not exceed 30mph alarms came in. A call to Land Rover Assist saw us being taken home in a recovery truck. Our vehicle has been with L R for 10 days now and we're waiting for L R Technical to comment on 'a short somewhere in the wiring loom'. On the plus side attendance by L R assist and the recovery vehicle companies has been prompt and L R assist made many phone calls to ensure things were progressing well right up to them checking we aboard the recovery truck. Enterprise Car Rental (through L R Assist) are looking after us very well with temporary vehicles.

Just completed survey - as compressor died today
Just riding round town @ about 20mph when there was a severe "Bump" from rear nearside - checked in mirror as I thought I'd run over something. Got an immediate message that suspension had locked at normal ride height & that I couldn't use other modes + yellow warning light which subsequently turned red - then got "under 30mph only" warning
Luckily was only ½ a mile from dealers so drove straight there and left vehicle for them to check. Had a call about 2 hours later to say the compressor had completely blown front(?) valve off! Compressor will therefore be replaced under warranty - Stealer was amused, however, as LR 3Yr warranty runs out at midnight tonight
Does this mean that my "New" compressor is now warranted for another three years? - Somehow I doubt it - will let you know when it's fixed (either tommorrow or Monday) Just Binned an Amazon VX for this - Hope it's worth it! - YES IT IS!

My almost two year old D3 (at about 95000 kms) had a suspension failure around the turn of the year. Put down to a failed sensor.

| C1A11-64 SUSPENSION FAULT |
|
have a SUSPENSION FAULT on my D3. It happens, when I go off road and suspension works hard. On regular roads everything is fine, but just go out and the yellow light turn on with the display message: SUSPENSION FAILURE, ONLY REGULAR HIGH AVAILABLE. This is not true, and the high still on the last position it was, but suspension control turn off and the only option that still active is to put on regular high.
I just have to turn switch off and start again and everything is OK, until next real suspension activity. I think, it happens when front left suspension, go in to a hold or something heavy work.
Any idea?
At LR they have change for a new compressor and still the same . The OBD code is: C1A11-64 Yuri Bilbatua

I had my compressor changed recently 2 days before warranty expired. Had the turbo changed last December and asked LR about the warranty on the new one. Not 3 years but 12 months, and they would look at each customer situation as it arose when the vehicle was out of warranty if a new part failed within a reasonable time S White, TdV6, air suspension, 110ltr Long Range tank, Kaymar wheel carrier, aux. battery, adjustable cargo barrier, LR snorkel(waterproofed), reversing and front camera, Cooper tyres and tyre sensors, Codan NGT. LR in Norway has tried to get it fixed but it seems hard to repair. Ihave done one test and i disconected the battery, and the "leak" stopped. After several days i put the power back on again and the car lovered 2-3 cm. And it seems that the leak is stopped or reduced. It looks like it is a problem with the can bus system or that the register dont clear the memory and the peases of command from the register produces output to the leveling system.
Is it possible that it could bee a software problem ? LR takes 90 quid pr. hour in the workshop. 2004 Mini Cooper
