So took the Disco back for a gearbox/tc problem, the converter didn’t ‘lockup’ when the car was cold, after about 5 miles all was well and the gearbox behaved normally, gear changes are ok as is selection, they flushed the box and changed the filter and now the cold problem is still there but it also play up when warm now😱 do you think a tube of Dr Tranny might help the problem?

The TC is designed not to lock up when cold or select 6th gear, this is to get the oil up to temperature ASAP.
No not IMHO, Drtranny is only a temporary cure and can cause problems elsewhere.
Exactly what have you had done? It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

As above..
designed to get fluid up to correct operating temp ASAP then gearbox specifications get into tolerance If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....
Please note...
Anything I say is only from my personal experience and knowledge..
I don't assume to know everything, and know there is a lot I don't know..
But then I could be talking  .. O

It went in to see if this was a problem, it’s come back worse, it’s doesnt lock up very well when warm now, they flushed the box and changed the filter apparently, the issue is when the box isn’t locked up there is now no engine breaking also when it’s coasting and you press the throttle you get a ‘thud’ as the drive comes back, not sure this is right?

Dr tranny is ok if u trying to con someone when u sell it but it may help a slipping torque convertor for a while but ruins your gearbox which I have just found out for the sum of 2.5k ruins everything even valve body and solonoids in the box Disco 3 gone but not forGotten
