So at the moment it's the dealer that has 'set' the correct CCF?
As has been mentiined, I would personally be looking to get that checked by someone with a GAP IID PRO tool to confirm everything that you've been told. (..or buy one, or pay for a willing volounteer to upgrade a +1 on their std. tool.) You'll then know where you stand with the vehicle loom. The plugin section is clearly the correct part for your car. I really wouldn't trust the dealers word.

Incidentally, does the 12S socket work as it should? All pins correct?

Hope you get it sorted.

Yes, apparently the dealer has set the correct CCF, but as you mention, I am taking their word for it.

Hopefully I will find someone around North London or the outskirts that has the tool and I can pay for the upgrade.

I am picking the car up from the dealer later today so will check the 12S as well.

Thanks
Ben

Push the dealer to sort out why the park sensors don't disable.

Owners manual says it should.

If they fix that, the other issue might get sorted!

The dealer thinks the reversing sensor not being disabled with the light board connected is all just part of the wiring fault.
I think they are at the end of their suggestions and they suggest overlaying the green and yellow cables to the CJB as a first step.
I am back to the beginning so will try to find someone who is skilled at investigating issues like this.

Thanks
Ben

yeah its a good line from them.

I assume the trailer light on the dash flashes when the trailer board is plugged in

No it doesn't, I didn't even know there was a trailer light on the dash.

D3's have a light on the dash which flashes with the trailer indicators.

If a trailer indicator is blown, it doesn't flash ( a very old standard)

It on the bottom row. On right

I've just checked my CCF with the Iid tool, I have twin 7 pin fitted from new and it is set to...................... 13pin Shocked and I have never had a problem so have left it as is including tow assist enabled whatever that is and hitch assist with rear camera, there are several different settings for tow electrics. It's got to be worthwhile you trying them all in your case, as a last resort could you not choose none and connect the sockets up conventionally to avoid a massive bill.
This is the second time I've found mistakes in my CCF, last one was the compressor, thanks to owning an Iid tool.

Yes. Putting the setting on 13pin Seams to be the solution for reverse sensors to disable automatically.

Good plan
When I find someone with the iid tool, I will definitely try all the options.

Strange that the towing light on the dash doesn't work either, as the indicators work fine when towing until the brake is pressed.
I am sure it is a programming or control fault rather than wiring.

Thanks
Ben

That's why the first thing I would do for the sake of £15ish is change the brake switch, it does a lot more than switches the lights on and is the cause of a lot of unexplained faults, if it doesn't help it will come in as a spare Thumbs Up

There are so many variables in this fault you can only work methodically to eliminate as many as possible before plunging for the big expensive ones, I would change the brake switch (very easy plug out plug in ) and brake light bulbs for genuine, if no improvement, check the CJB connector for Corrosion or bent pins, next check the CCF is correct, it seems 13 pin with rear sensors disabled work (that is what mine is set at), one problem with the dealers they don’t have Iid tools, only LR recommended diagnostic tools that are primitive and very slow in comparison hence why they have to charge so much for a simple CCF check or change, with an Iid tool all the options can be tried one after another if necessary in minutes, for LR to do the same would take hours.
Once these have been checked out with no luck then you can go back to the dealer.
Have you at any time had any problems with water ingress?- water in the foot wells.

Thanks for the advice M3DPO and sorry for the delay in replying I am away at the moment.

I have never had any water ingress and have had the car from almost new so I doubt it is that.
The switch and bulbs are easy fixes so I could do those. I will have a look at the CJB connector, but I must admit I am not sure how to find the wires that I should be checking.
I really need to find someone with an IID tool.

Thanks
Ben
