I pulled out a middle class toff in his very capable XC90 trying to get up a tiny hill out of Tesco's Some people need to get proper 4x4's instead of big cars saying they're 4 wheels drives.
Odd, we've got an XC90 on Wintracs and a D2 on AT2s and they've both been excellent although the XC90 is glued to the road. He must have had worn tyres....

He was about my age so I really haven't a clue what he was doing wrong? Granted it was snowing heavily but a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso and loads of other cars wizzed passed no problems. So yes probably worn tyres. Not got anything against XC90's though, usually the drivers that let them down.2011 RRS 3.0 TDV6 HSE - Fuji White - Due 30th July

I carry one of these in the back of the defender. Had a lot of use the last few days.

Pom that looks pretty darn good. Daft question maybe but where is the best place to attach that to the back of a D3? Can you use the holes behind the cover for the towing electrics to attach something like that?

Stopped in my HSE, attached tow rope, engaged ice & snow mode + low range and towed it up the hill no probs.
I've got a D3 too, but mine is only a SE - would I have been able to tow them up the hill or is it only HSEs that can do this

Ah the toys, love the toys. I reckon even SE's and XS' could have done this but the two people I picked up walking through the snow half a mile later wouldn't have been quite as comfortable without the heated rear seats. Seriously, all D3's are great. My mrs also now understands the meaning of the word permagrin after being out in the snow most of today!!Discovery 3, 56.
