Re: What do you tow with your disco?

Just a bit of fun, the idea shamelessly stolen from another forum I'm a member of.
Lets see them toys that you tow boats, cars, caravans anything welcome.
To start this off:
My last boat the day it was collected
On its first trip out
2002 Wellcraft 190 Excalibur 4.3l Mercruiser 18.5 ft
and one at the 2015 London boat show!
Pretty sure I know which forum you post on
Not exactly towing, but I did a trial fit of my new bike rack at the weekend. The LR Farmers hitch tow ball wouldn't work with the rack, so I ended up swapping the ball off my series and that fits fine.
It was a cheap tilting rack. Light bar had no markings on it, so I discovered that I fitted it upside down and the instructions were for a different model. Should have paid more money for a Thule.
Bought it so I could transport three bikes to Center Parcs in two weeks time
Pretty sure I won't be testing the vehicles towing capabilities...

Just a thought on towing limits, I was under the impression you should never have your trailer heavy than the tow vehicle ? A disco is one heavy beast and can two 3.5 tonnes, however it weighs approx 2.5t thus surely it would not be safe to tow heavier ?
PS I tow a caravan but with a disco I`m not now even looking at weight just whatever van configuration now suits as potentially looking to swap for something else and big van is now out of the question.
