TPMS

I was wondering how folks are finding TPMS. Mine has just started playing up giving wrong information and saying that I need to check all tyres when they are fine and even checked by LR Dealer. Had to go to the dealer as LR had forgotten to put the sticker on the B pillar of my car to say what the pressures should be Embarassed

Took the car into the dealer and they had it for the day but have now had to disable the system and refer it back to LR technical.

Mine was reg'd in October and has done 6500 miles. Anyone else had any problems?

Also, if you only have a light load the switch should be lit but if you are towing etc you shouldn't which is the opposite of what it says in the book.

Will report back with findings.

Yes I have had problems with TPMS on both cars I have driven that had it!

Our Mini has TPMS, and the other day it actually got a puncture! but the system said it did not have a puncture, so my wife carried on driving. Run flat tyres are ok, but they don't give much clue that there is a problem. BMW dealer said the TPMS rarely works, and best check the tyres daily.

Our Ford Exlorer hire car in the USA last year kept telling us we had a flat, but it did not.

I had it on an Explorer (hire car) as well & the only thing that told me there was a puncture was the hisssssssss from the tyre. Crying or Very sad
