You shouldn't have to do anything ?

You have got the full system fitted, receivers in wheel arches etc?

Had any problems with other wheels?

Yes I have the full system,I changed my 19" wheels for 20" and fitted new valves which I got from eBay they are the correct 433 MHz version,on some ads they say the valves have been activated and others not, local Indy said as long as I have the individual serial numbers of the valves and the position of each on the vehicle he would be able to program them on hence my question on the diagnostic tool,no problems with the old sensors.

If they are the correct, working sensors, no programming at all is necessary when you change them. Because of this I don't think there are any diagnostic routines on the IID or anything else for that matter that can do what you describe.

You haven't bought D3 ones have you? I think they are different and not compatible.

You do have to drive it for a bit first for the new sensors to register as well.

I went through a very similar process, and couldnt get the set I brought off ebay that needed activation to work no matter what we tried - sent them back for a refund. There are plenty around that work straight from the off so its not worth messing about.

I think I paid about 16quid each for some that worked straight away.
