Trade in 2010 for a 2012 model

We are negotiating to trade our 2010 HSE for a new 2012. Our existing vehicle now has 51,000 miles and has the following extras, heated steering, privacy, tow, surround. We can live without the surround but want to keep the other "extras" and high beam assist. We have been quoted just under £20k to change with an early March delivery. Sticking with Ipanema and Alpacca.

Have others made this change and if so, does this sound like a "good" deal ?

Toying with the idea of trading down to an XS (it is the wife's car after all ;0) - what would we miss if we did that ? Gets the price to change down to £13k. Disco 4 TDV6HSE

If you're going to keep it long term, go for the XS and pay the lower price. If in 2 years time you're going to want the 2014 model (or whatever it is by then), then get the HSE as you'll make the difference back when you trade in IMO! Thumbs Up 2014 D4 XS

So what is he giving you for yours, around £33k ?

Personally I don't think that's a bad price for 51k miles, but it might give you a better idea if you tried at least one other dealer ?

trade down to xs

BUT get xenons, electric seat (armrest) pack and reversing camera and still save over 5K
will you really miss the sunroof, different leather, and keyless entry ?

voice and 4x4 screen can be activated

Hi Fi - nothing to choose between the 2 - unless its your thing

your dealer should be giving you 4% - if not have a word with him or go elsewhere Illegitimi Non Carborundum
