Trailer LED lights flashing
Hi there all. I have just changed my trailer lights to LED's. The indicator lights flash dimly on the trailer when electrics plugged in from the car. There is no fault with the trailer or the car as the eelctrics work fine on other trailers and the trailer's LED's work fine with other cars!!
Also when hitched up and plugged in the reversing sensors come on continually as if the car has not recognised the trailer. This does not happen on other trailers.
I think the led's have something to do with this . Possibly lower wattage and it upsets the cars circuitry.
Has anyone come across this problem and if so is there a fix?D3 Buckingham Blue SE Auto

this is a known issue with the D3 and LED trailer lights you will need to add resisters to the led lights to stop the flashing, no doubt some one will point you in the right direction or you could use the search function to find the relevent threadsTintenter

I have exactly the same issue with my new trailer. Strange thing is when I first connected it up it all worked, reversing sensor disabled, trailer indicator on the dash display. Since then it has not and it is only because I got down and recognised the lights as LEDs I remembered this issue being raised on the Forum.
How could this be?
Do you only need one shunt for both trailer light assemblies or one shunt each?
I imagine it can be fitted close to the plug to avoid waterproofing issues?
Thanks

For those interested, LAB Electronics make and supply both an in-vehicle unit (PulseShunt) and a trailer-based unit (PulseBuster). See here:
