Hi all
Knowing nothing about the subject, I thought I'd subject myself to the combined wisdom of the D3 board.
I'll need a trailer for a few days soon- to transport all manner of house stuff. Lots of house moving kinds of things really (like furniture, books & toys), so nothing too messy or heavy. I have a D3 with a nice towball just itching to be used. I therefore figured I ought to make use of what I have.
Now - I understand that the D3 can be used with a trailer up to 3.5 tonnes. Sounds plenty of capacity to me.
My question is - what sorts of trailers are available / recommended for this kind of stuff? Anyone know of a good place to go to hire these? Anything to watch out for (apart from the obvious reversing malarky)? Would it be cheaper / sensible to buy something 2nd hand then resell on Fleabay?
As ever - any pointers, advice or abuse gratefully received

Ifor Williams definitely - they fetch most of their new value second hand, plus can be a popular theft target so if you do buy second hand check all the paperwork

You also need to consider when you passed your test as this will affect the load you can tow. I'll 3rd IW trailers but they are nicked an awful lot. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Thanks for the tips. Driving licence isn't a problem- I passed 20 years ago(!)
I'll have a chat with Indespension about hiring rather than buying - having looked at eBay the trailers seem to go for huge money for something so mechanically simple. Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue

Just hire one, if its only for a few days. That way you dont have to worry about anything, You can even hire a box trailer in case its pi***ing down, and everything stays dry. I wouldn't spend money if you dont use one regularly, false economy. Just Bought one
