Transfer Box & Terrain Response Not Working

hi i checked the faults and fixes section and didn't see this problem so hope i'm posting in the correct place.

my Discovery seems to have issues with the transfer box and terrain response. I can't change into "lo" or select any of the terrain response options. when i try i get a warning sound and "system fault, special programs not available" warning notification.

anyone had similar? software prob? dealer i'm guessing?

thanks

eddie

Hi, I have exactly the same on my 06 D3 Auto, it's going into Dealer on Thursday so will let you know how I get on. Would be interested to hear of anyone else who has or has had similar and what the outcome was?
Question

United Kingdom 2012 Discovery 4 5.0 V8 HSE Manual Bali BlueDiscovery 4

Check for signs of leaked battery acid onto the transfer box ECU behind the battery.
Caused by a blocked battery breather tube

Hi, just been told by LR Newport Pagnell that problem is water in transfer case control module, causing corosion and needs replacing. Apparently the scuttle panel (the trim fitting to windscreen) was not fitted properly and was leaking water, just needed adjusting to fit flush.
Juddering when accelerating is EGR Valves.

hope this helps Smile
