I had my transfer case reset as part of a regular service.
When I picked up my car after paying, I jumped in to travel back home. I went to start the car, And I noticed the glow plug light, would not go out, after 30 seconds I started the car, I then noticed the engine would not settle at the usual 700 rpm, it settled at 1000 rpm.
I drove out of the dealership and it wouldn’t change gears, it revved upto 3000 rpm and I had to manually change the gears, I pulled over and placed the transmission into N and the engine started reving up to 2000 rpm then dropping back to 1000 rpm, before going back to 2000 rpm again, this cycle continued until I turned the vehicle off.
I contacted the dealership and they suggested it was part of the readaptation of the transfer case,
They suggest I drive around a bit more and see if it returns to normal. After a short drive all went back to normal.
Fast forward to today, and the second run of my day, the cars
Glow light won’t go out and the engine sits on 1000 rpm, i drive up a long hill and I get the transmission fail Message appear, i pull over to the side of the road And place the engine into N and it’s starts revving up to the 2000 rpm and then dropping back to 1000 rpm again.
Gear changes in lower gears are very clunky, higher gears are good.
The other thing I have noticed is, the auto climate control does not work, it just blows hot air, no mater what is set on the individual temperature dials.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
