Transmission fault

Hi, my first.

My 2006 D3 Auto making a strange grinding noise when I need to reduce speed going down hill or stopping, as soon as I take my foot of the gas the revs drops to Idle and then there is a strange grinding noise until I hit the gas again or stop. Previously the revs stayed up and reduced slowly as speed come down.

Any Idees please? Shocked
