Transmission problem - communication?? |
|
I am sure this has been covered may times before but, I am not sure where to go next. My 06 D3 started to come up with the 'F' fault + special programs off and park brake fault. The car will not drive. The first twice it cleared on restarting, the next time I had to wait for the car to go to sleep. The next time what ever I tried did not work so called LRA who took 3 1/2 hours to arrive. Found loads of faults but when cleared the 'F' fault always came back. The next step was to reprogram one of the modules, after a few goes because of by the low battery voltage I was up and running. Three days later the car stalled (it's an auto) whilst parking and the 'F' was back again. The suspension raised all by itself. This time the AA turned up - in 15 minutes! - and his lap top came up with a fault in the 'U' series but, don't recall the number. Obviously he could not fix it so I was recovered to Caffyns Lewes (it had to be winched onto the transporter) where, lo and behold the car was driven off the transporter and after many ££££££ no fault was found. How can this be? Has any body a suggestion as to what I do next as I tow a 3.5T trailer a lot of the time and have lost all confidence in my Disco to do so. Thanks Steve Stvmor

Sorry don't have an answer but best to get the mods to move it to the D3 section not D4 as you may miss out on people with similar D3 problems

Hi, any more news on the warning lights ? We have had 3 lots come up very similar to yours, installed new fuel filter even though the old one was very clean so dont expect any change. Vehicle runs well after a soft reset till next time, might try a hard reset in future.
