Trolley Jack

i'm thinking of getting a Trolley Jack Clarke CTJ3000G or Clarke CTJ3QLG for my Disco 4

Not going to carry it around, just going to sit in the Garage and use it for swapping wheels etc. would this model be ok?

also can you purchase the 'pin' fixture for them or do they come with it?

any other recommendations appreciated.

DON'T get the Quick Lift version, it will bend.....

You can get the Pin adapter on the bay or at another website we're not allowed to mention....

Google Search for

Clarke Jack CTJ3000G adapter

I have been looking on this forum for recommendations for a 3 ton jack myself, and most people seem to recommend the Clarke CTJ3000G although the CTJ3QLG would seem to be the same, but with a foot pedal.

Machine Mart are doing 20% off if you use voucher code 9252244141440 – hurry offer ends midnight tonight for online orders.

You need to buy the Jack Adaptor separately.

One person recommended the Paddock 3 Ton Jack which would appear to be the same as the Clarke, and apparently will take the same jack adaptor.

Take a look at this post http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic63929.h...p;start=30

Jimbo

PS The one to avoid is the Clarke CTJ3000QL

Very Happy 'twas me and yes , it's the same as the Clarke but way, way cheaper. Was great in getting the car in the air, made changing the AC pipes easy (er Laughing ) .

Doesn't come with the 'pin' but if you have access to a lathe or know of anyone you can turn up a bit of mild steel, it's easy. If you're in no great rush, I'll post a piccie tonight.

Thumbs Up

Plenty of others on here who have had to replace them after one or two uses.

You must just be extra careful with yours Wink

No, that's not the same as the Clarke ...

.... the Clarke has got a white handle.

Laughing

Seriously, looks identical Thumbs Up
It's a cracking jack, especially being used with the adaptor.
Got my wheel changing times way down way down with this set up.
