As some of you know I bought the CTJ3000QL and promptly bent the b***er putting on my ST's ready for the Rockingham weekend. Despite it probably being as much my lack of technique as the strength of the frame at fault, Machine Mart happily exchanged it for me yesterday Thumbs Up

Will ALWAYS have that piece of ply under the jack in future - as well as the 3" square cap Whistle

I use a high lift Halfords 3 tonne trolley jack that I bought when 'renovating' my old S3 LR about 5 years ago, it works very well and will lift half a D3 off the ground to tyre-changing height. only problem is it weighs about 60kg itself! Rolling Eyes

This is the jack I use in the garage and on the drive. Its no good off-road because it has not got the lifting range to cope with uneven ground etc. 20 tonne capacity though, lifts the D3 like its not there.
