Guys a few notes:
The LR Scissor jack is extreemly dangerous and will collapse, it is nowhere near fit for purpose. I have experience this and heard of MANY others having the same experience. A D3 crashing down on you is not a fun thought.

Myself and Countrywide both bought these when they were on sale recently. Both jacks buckled and warped on first use. Both were returned to Halfords.
I have a small trolly jack (on long term loan from a mate) and I use this to lift the wheels on the wishbones. This seems to be the best option and I'd always use axel stands where possible.D3 HSE MY05 Auto

My memory was not failing it is the Strong Arm
I did a small mod to the top,must get it cleaned down and painted .... , which works well to keep the arm in the correct position inside the chassis member at the designated LR jack points to prevent slippage.
Mine came out of Argos but quick search on their website did not bring it up - was circa £40 if i recall.

Neat trick for storing the Jack.
But... is it just me or doesn't it seem cmpletely daft that you need to lug another 37.5Kg around and (in my case) risk doing your back in (again) by twisting roung to get that lump in and out from there.
Surely there must be a better way to lift a Disco:?:
Where did you get the 37.5 kg from ?. Ok it's heavy but to be honest dropping the 2nd row seats down & forward and lifting one of the 2nd row seats upwards you can get it in or out with ease. Frankly dropping the spare wheel and wrestling it out from under the vehicle is far worse let alone then removing and fitting the spare.
Overall it's worth it to be safe and not run the risk of your D3 ending up a mess due to a weak and inadequate scissor jack collapsing on you.
Every LR jack supplied with a D3 should carry a health warning .......
Just my opinion you understand.

Picked up the 37.5kg from the ebay link above your post. In retrospect it does sound like a lot and I have to admit I'd misread it a bit. Actually says 37.4kg
But Machinemart and other places also give this weight too.
Not questioning that it's much better than the LR jack and that trolly jacks are prob the best overall. Just wondering if there isn't a sensible compromise for most occasions.

If you want a reliable jack, its definatly the one on the link, it is heavy at 34kg but worth it.
I had the quicklift one to begin with and it twisted under the weight of the D3, Machinemart had to send it back to the manufacturer for testing, not only had the chassis twisted but it was leaking fluid as well.
I ended up going for the strong arm which is way better, no issues. 2016 RR Sport Autobiography
