Looks like Hotrocks Tried this out already, check this out;

www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic44588-30.html

I've bought my Innotec turbo clean for £35 (self pickup from a top bloke - Jim) and will do same procedure, Am already getting good results just from adding Redex!!

Then just a dealer Re-flash which will probably cost more then the rest!

Hi verydico,Sorry for the wait, I'm having to work for a living these days!

I had a crack at this yesterday but got stuck at getting the exhaust bolts undone, they were welded solid.

I was risking snapping the bolt and rocking the car off its stand. The procedure seems pretty simple tho but i will follow Hotrocks advice and get a garage to do it with an inspection pit and acetylene torch to heat the bolts.

The car is really doing well after a four tanks of Redex treatment, but i'm also a dab hand at switching off and on in the fast lane to reset!

Hi lads
I had mine treated with a turbo cleaner systeme (product injected in the manifold)and it works great really, I was lucky the motor / selenoid was not dead, it was just the turbo that was dirty.
the tool to do it come from Wolkwagen as the german manufacturer experinces similar worries on turbos

worked good but still i did twice for for peace of mind and guess what, it seems the disco runs better on acceleration !

i really recommand doing the turbo valve cleaning process BEFORE you have problems with it, or at leaset as soon as you have worries with it.

Verydisco, was it Innotec used or something else? How much did it cost to have done?

Yes, looking at the VAG forums they do have as many turbo issues as we do here Big Cry

Hi BrumLee, nice reading you Thumbs Up

Innotec still hasn't reply to my request, even though I went all the way to leave a message on the Sales manager's voicemail...

I used a product provided by me local LR independant garage. They borowed the tool especialy from a VW delearship.

I am not yet awared of the product cost as they did not know it either. I know it is not cheap but much cheaper that taking off the turbo for a standard clean

As noted above... been there... done that!

I drove to Spain and back after it was done and have since completed another 15 k and still not had the turbo changed as recommended by the dealer.

Innotec seems to have worked for me but I am starting to chuck out a bit more black smoke these days and fully intend booking in with BAS auto service soon for them to diagnose and fix for good as I am thinking of changing and won't sell on a vehicle I am not 100% sure about.

The procedure was pretty simple with the hardest bit getting the exhaust bolts undone.

I have one spare innotec turbo clean pack available if anyone wants it as I purchased three when I got mine as it was cheaper and I figured a spare would be handy... just message me if you want it as I don't think I will use it (I gave the third one to the garage who did mine as they were impressed and had a Sprinter van that needed the same treatment!).

I will post it in items for sale if the mods prefer but will make a site donation if someone buys it either way.

Lack of power and "special systems off" message

Recently bought a LR3 HSE and on a trip down to Cornwall when I decided to use the LR3 instead of my BMW645CI driving along nicely 20 miles from hotel and noted a comlete lack of power in lane 3 up hill. Noticed a "special Programs off" on the dash and managed to get on the hard shoulder without being killed. Switched off the motor and restarted and worked fine for 2 miles then the same happened with the same message. Stopped once again on a hill in a dangerous spot so I called the RAC and took the LR3 to a garage. Next day a diagnostic check showed 3 fault codes P0234, P132B & P006A I have seen one of the fault codes mentioned but can anyone help with the other codes. Does anyone have an idea of costs to get sorted and back on the road.

The first two codes relate to the turbo and the last one is for the Mass Air Flow Sensor Crying or Very sad
