Turbo leaking and fuel smell |
|
Hello guy I’m new here I have a d4 and have been smelling unburnt fuel from the car for couple of weeks on Saturday I had the car on a ramp for inspection but found no leak at all I found when my head was in the drivers front wheel space I could smell stronger but again no leak visable and not even dropped on the engine trays ? App on my inspection I found oil leaking from the back of my turbo drivers Side not bad leak very small what are people’s thoughts and if I do end up replacing turbo is that a body off job or can it be done without and where’s the best place to source a new turbo ?

no you don't need a new turbo.
maybe tighen the large jublie clip a little (not too tight though)
The fuel filter is under car, under the drivers seat area, under a cover I believe

I did look around the filter as my Range Rover sport had a cracked filter housing and was leaking there but does not seem to be wet damp or leaking anywhere I didn’t know if it was injectors leaking back/off ? And the oil leak is than not the turbo passing oil ?
