Neighbour's brother getting 07MY in couple of weeks, will let you all know how that fairs (& feels) back to back with my t/c 05MY.
Re mpg/warranty/etc. You only live once and if like me you came from a fastish car (BMW 530 sport) TC really could make the difference between buying or not buying, did for me.

I had a standing start with a D3 from lights quite a few months ago, my RRS wasny chipped then, and there was nothing in it between then, the other day while on my way to work i had a shall we say spirited drive with another RRS, but now mines chipped and up to about 100 i smoked him in to the distance. 8)
I reckon that a chipped D3 may be slightly quicker off the mark than a chipped RRS, but top end the RRS would leave the D3 in the dust 
If you are talking about a meet to DISCUSS this matter this Sunday, if its ok I would like to tag along, and bring the RRS of course
