Aircon not blowing cold after regas

Ok so Ive bought a disco 3 and made up with it. Takes it to kwick fit to get regassed and eventually handed the car back to me as it wasnt blowing cold. So I takes the car back to where i bought it and they pressure test it and regas the system. It blows slightly cold but nothing like it should be. Ive been round the engine bay with a black lamp looking for trace of leaks from the dye in the gas and cant see any evidence of a leak. Am I missing something. Im kind of thinking if the system is holding its pressure and still has gas. Where is it and is it stuck bu a blockage or a pump not circulating ?
If any one has any ideas of where to start looking or potential problematic areas like the rear pipes

Simple check, back of engine bay passengers side the alloy air con pipes, (easier seen with engine cover off) are they getting cold when engine is running, the fatter one should have condensation on it pdq after starting, the nearer the pump the quicker is gets wet.

If kwik fit gassed it then the car sales people gassed it that says to me its losing pressure.

Has it got rear a/c?

I have a similar issue and have rear air on, what is the significance of the rear on the front?

Get someone with a nitrogen test kit as i was told its the only real way to find a leak after having mine gassed and not getting cold again a chap told me that the problem with a vacuum test is that if its a small hole in a rubber hose the vacuum can sometimes seal it as i have had mine gassed twice and its still not right but will get sorted i can see a few small leak under ultra violet light but nothing much Thumbs Up

The pipes for the rear air con have been known to deteriorate with age .they can de removed and blanked off ,however this renders the rear air con innop.

Still not working

Ok my car has been back now and regassed for the fourth time, I did find a leak on the condenser and thats been replaced, then it blew a seal much to the joy of the petrol forecourt attendant at the time, but when it works it works great, I have about an hour worth of nice cold air and then it starts to warm up again, so Ive obviously got a leak somewhere else Sad, so now it has to go back again

If you get cold air then not and next time out you have the same cold-then-not cycle then it is probably not a leak. Once the gas has gone it's gone.

What happens all-too-frequently is the aircon being filled too much; typically caused by the auto-lookup on the machine selecting the value for rear aircon or the technician using the higher value on the under-bonnet label when no rear aircon is fitted.

I do have the rear aircon fitted, I just got home from work and had a look with a UV lamp, now the condenser has been replaced the rear diff now glows in the dark so its gotta be the rear pipes that leak, Took me about 30 secs to establish this and cant work out why this garage can't find the problem, I wouldnt mind but I watched them check in that area before I left Sad they must of noticed it and just kept quiet Sad

My D3

Aircon usually works..
My D3 is being serviced right now (MOT with some work to be done to front suspension & a rear brake calliper sticking)
also has to be re gassed...the leak is one joint on a relatively new pipe
This time the joints to be unbolted & new "O" rings fitted (not OEM but right size different material)

I have looked at all the pipes that have been on my car non "rotted" but it would appear all the leaks tended to over now 10 years of ownership were down to leaky "O" ring seals
 BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

There is a joint above the rear diff that potentially could be leaking and may just require new o rings .other than that the pipes may be compromised .

Thanx, my cd manual came yesterday so now i have a better idea of what Im looking at, the rear pipe is in 3 sections, there are concentrated levels of dye around the back 2 connections, and the diff is covered in the stuff and basically the whole pipe glows under uv light. so it seems like it may just be the seals.
The good news is Ive just spoken to the dealership where I got the car and I think they are going to replace the rear 2 sections, on the bad side they never cleaned the engine bay from when the front seal to the condenser failed so I cannot tell if there is an issue there as the whole left side of the engine bay glows
