Thanks all for comments
Mind now made up - well actually confirmd what I thought.
I'm sticking with my own conversion the FFRR - No1.
Didn't know if I liked it just beacause it was mine, but when the DC4X4 turned up, I was dissappointed!
Reckon No1 gives the front more depth versus the blunt almost snub nose effect of the D4 conversion [you need to see it in the flesh].
Also it gives more width because I don't have the upright spars.
Finally the grill finish is better - semi chrome on the FFRR and painted silver on the D4.
edited to add: Forgot to mention - I did't want my D3 to look like a D4 [if so I would've gone with a full conversion], I just wanted to update it and give it the current 'corporate' look.
Excellent conversion btw on DC4X4 ... not slating the quality of workmanship at all - it's just the overall look versus my own.
So, the DC4X4 grill will be up for grabs.
I'll start by pm'ing those that have shown interest on here before putting it up on the forum 'for sale' section or e-bay.
btw. for those that asked, the side vent is a D3 accessory [not D4] which I modified with the honeycomb & lettering. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Yep,must agree. The FFRR one looks better(dont know why ) but i think because of the smaller diamonds in the mesh maybe. The second one looks more aftermarket if thats the word i am looking for?

Your own FFRR one Ron, and at least it's a pat on the back to yourself for such a clean job.
If you're one is similar to the older FFRR SC grills, then the plastic is copper plated and then a sort of satin chrome finish applied over it, so looks more natural than from what i can make out the D4 one to be, which looks more painted.
Is that the Alloy side vent you have? ATB
