Tyre Fitting at the Stealers
My D4 is in for a service soon and wondered to save time if it was worth getting tyres changed whilst it was there.
Has anyone gone back to the dealers for tyre fitting? what was the prices like?

In my limited experience of other brand dealers, they are way over priced. Ring around local tyre fitters, I found the one the closest to me was way cheaper.MY2012 D4 HSE Nara Bronze with some extra stuff

Although not a fan - Kwik Fit are doing Pirelli Scorpion Zeros and undercutting most of my local fitters.
Seems they have done a deal with Pirelli allowing them to buy in bulk and pass the savings on.
You can check prices on line and also book the service, so allowing you to know what you are paying prior to going along
SWMBOs Antara needed tyres and Arnold Sharks sorted them at a very good price for her.
Yes ... I was shocked too.
But they've screwed up her service so equilibrium is restored..

ask for prices....on our old d3 we could get 4 tyres from the independent for the same price the stealer wanted for just 2

Hi all,
Source your tyres online - ATS, Camskill Boss Tyres etc.
Get them delivered to your local garage direct.
Then get your local garage to replace (fit and balance) on your rims, usually £10-£15 /wheel if nothing else is being done to the vehicle......
Prices may vary, but will be difficult to get a dealer to match the above prices.....
Also you get the tyres you want not what the dealer has access to.....
Cheers

On 17" D3 tyres I got a good price at ASDA , then asked the nominated local fitter if they could better it and got another fiver off each.

I made enquiries some time ago and found the LR dealer/garage quoted a price equivalent to the rrp of the tyres and added labour at LR prices which, when combined, worked out twice as much as my local garage.
Salisbury has quite a plethora of 'specialist' tyre fitters so I did the rounds and still came up with a better deal at my local garage.
I still do a quick check each time I need tyres, just in case the first deal was just bait !
but no, it still pays to use Rangers 4x4 centre at Durrington.
The garage some of the Salisbury Plain 4x4 off roaders use to hose their wheels down before re-joining civilisation
