Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
Presently looking at installing a TPM system on my Dico3. The two systems I have come across is the one by Tyreco and the other by Bestech. Has anyone fitted either of these systems and if so are they worth it. Maybe you are using a different system. Comments please.

Can't find the tyreco one, do you have web info?
The bestech one looks like it comes in a few different guises. Having given up on the tyredog, I am also looking for something better. My worry is the sensors - which is the part of the tyredog that let me down- unfortunately we will only know how robust the sensors are once they are fitted and still working after a few hundred km on corrugated roads.
Another question is fitment - some of these units need antennae fitted along the wheelarch.
Can you provide more info?
Do you want to consider fitting the D3 factory system? Will chat to TLO

OK my findings so far
The Digityre display isn't as nice looking as the tyredog. They have basically taken the 4 unit display and added an additional screen to display the last 2 tyres . It isn't as configurable either , as you pump your tyres to desired cold pressure , and then push a calibrate button on the back of the display . This then uses the current pressure as a base for working out the alarm levels (not quite sure what these are yet) . Also it requires a tyre fitment dealer to install it because of the onboard valve sensor
OK having said all that , I had a 4 unit one in my defender for 4 years and it was bullet proof. Needed one battery replaced during that time . Unlike the tyredog which needs new batteries about every 6 months. Also I had 3 swopouts of the tyredog unit in just over a year , because if one of the senders goes they have to replace the whole system ( I beleive they have now brought out a "trainable" sender to fix this problem , but to date they haven't seemed to reach our shores) .

The website for Tyreco is "www.tyrecheckers.com". For the Tyreco system they are asking around R2000.00 and that does not include fittment which has to be done by an approved fittment centre. Baden, you are correct two antenna's need to be fitted on either side of the two front car pillars. I am a little nervous with the wiring required to the unit and antenna"s.

Yup this is the one I have in 6 wheel form. Dead easy to install receiver, you just plug power into the cigarette lighter and run the antenna anywhere where they are out of sight

Picked up a puncture this week-end in Lesotho, by the time I realized I had a flat, the tyre was already shredded.
Have bought a DigiTire 4x4 TPMS-201-S, online and will be fitting as soon as I get my D3 back from the dealers.
I have decided to go with the TPMS-201-S because it has the option of doing low pressure monitoring as well. The 4 wheel system also costs R2200 compared to the six at R4000.
So If I like the TPMS-201-S, I'll just get another for the trailer and spare's. ( basically the cost of a six wheel system, I will have all 8 tyres with monitors)
Will be fitting a full set of General Grabbers AT2's.
Any views/comments.
Thanks.Disco4 SDV6 HSE 2013, Faultmate MVS2.

Same TPM as Disco3cb
Hi folks.
I have the exact same system as Disco3cb.
I fitted mine probably 8 months ago. It works like a charm.
I've had 3 punctures already, slow ones though...but picked it up with the monitor.
I've installed the receiver antennas in the A-pillars.
Some time after this I also fitted General Grabber AT2 tyres.
Very happy with them.LR Discovery 3 TDV6 SE-2005, General Grabber AT.
