I don't tow much at all and find that tyre wear is similar.

Not so good for the Pirellies. I'm looking for an alternative tyre for sure!

Sound about right, my Pirelli's are all at 6mm and I have only done 7K miles.

Shocked my wranglers @ 27K miles had 5mm and only had to be replaced due to unever tyrewear problem.

I believe your tyres start off with less tread depth than the wranglers too. Confused

I have also had the uneven tyre wear problem but it was caught and fixed before it damaged the tyres too badly. The dealer has said that they won't replace them at the moment, however if they do wear out before they have done a decent mileage (not said what that is though) they will put a claim into LR for a new set of tyres.

thank you - it is reccomended for a full cost replacement to do it before 15K - after this (granted depends on incidence) they may only pay a percentage!

Me - going on my experience anyway.

Worth considering if you are worried about tyres and the wear levels - LR are aware it is in an issue and will contribute however the earlier you make them aware of it the better - they may well ask for a contribution from the customer which they are entitled too - depends on the dealers WPAP rating.

Actually....

Slimer wrote:
LA204-008 Discovery 3/LR3 - Uneven Tire Wear (unfortunately LRs US masters seems to have influenced the spelling of tyre) Vin range: 5A300259-6A403382

Summary:

A customer may report a concern of uneven tire wear.

Cause: Certain vehicles may experience a degree of 'bush settle' after the initial geometry setting following production (this has now been compensated for using calculated geometry settings introduced from the VIN above). This 'bush settle' may change the geometry settings to outside of normal tolerance and may increase tire wear. This issue is not experienced on all vehicles and the toe sensitivity may be attributed to other factors.

Action: Should it become necessary to adjust vehicle geometry due to specific complaints of tire wear, it should be set to the dimensions detailed in this bulletin. For all other cases requiring geometry setting, the dimensions in the workshop manual should be used.

Doesn't specify a milage. There are several on the site who have had replacements beyond 15k.

Welcome delyvaldes, please forgive my ignorance, but what is 'the dealers WPAP rating', and can we find this out for any particular dealerships?
