I just bought a set of 18" Continental Cross-Contact ATs.

Good to see the conti's have made it into the vocabulary finally for you guys who stand on your heads all day! Could not understand why they hadn't taken off. Still very happy with mine after 10,000K.

Look into them when considering new AT's, you can't go wrong. Thumbs Up

Just had a set of Scorpion ATRs fitted, $1000 out the door. First impression is that they are smoother and quieter than the Wranglers. Have yet to take them off-road but would expect them to do better than the OEM tyres.

If it's 18" go for AT2, on 19" the Vredestein WIN 4 Xtreme is well worth a look, better prices than the ATR.

Best price I could find on Scorpion ATRs was $174 (105 pounds) ea, best price on AT2s was $184 (111 pounds) ea.

I'm sure the AT2's are better in the snow and ice, but I live in LA, and mostly drive on asphalt, with the occasional venture to dirt, washboard, and a bit of rocky stuff. About twice a year I'll find myself on snow heading up to Big Bear or the Angeles Crest. SO I went for a bit of a quiet ride, handling, and steering response.

Thanks tho' Andy.

Just a counter statement

In 18's AT2's Great Tyre Sidewalls soft as Baby Poo
Pirelli ATRs better tyre but a bit more money

19's Sorry but ATR all the way but is your money (That said if and When General do a AT2 in 19's I'll give it a go)

Andy.

I've run the Vredesteins for a bit now, and find them great in all conditions. Much better than the Scorpions they replaced. Better value than ATRs too.
