I'm really pleased with my Maxxis Bighorns and I'm glad that I bought 5 of them. ReggieB was keen to get a set when he got hold of a spare set of 17s recently but when he called Camskill, they told him that they had been withdrawn from sale here because they didn't meet some new EU tyre noise directive. Can you still get them anywhere over your side of the water?Clubs Mantec, Tasmods, LEDS, AT2s on 18s, Maxxis Bighorns on 17s, Remote FBH, BAS. ATR's IMHO are a great tyre run them on my FFRR & D3
Way better than Standard Scorps Nicer ride than MTR's if you dont venture off the black stuff that often with a ATR its nice to be assured that you have a true All Terrain tyre with better sidewalls than other offerings (Save for MTR's)

My list below of the most popular we fit on D3 at present in 18" or 19"
1. General AT2
2. Vredestein Wintrac 4
3. Pirelli Scorpion
4. General UHP
5. Goodyear HP AW
6. Pirelli ATR
7.Kumho
8.Michelin
These are based on my total sales this year in 18" and 19", I do think that a lot is based on price though, if the ATR was a lot cheeeeeeeeeper we would sell more, prefer it to Scorpion but still think the AT2 is very hard to beat, big shame no 19" AT2 yet, been told early next year, won't hold my breath though.

ContiCross good Road Bias tyre limited tread thou ie wears Norm-Quick rather than the Pirelli ATR in 18 that wears Norm - Low i.e. lasts longer

This is a perfect thread for me, I am in the same situation 19" Wranglers on my HSE. I want to change them (when they wear out) for some all terrains.
I do not want Mud tyres because:
1 I don't want a second set of wheels
2 I don't want them on all the time
3 I am planning on going to Morocco and don't want tyres that will dig me into the sand.
So definately some all terrains. If everyone likes the ATR's then that sounds good to me, what sort of price should I expect to pay for them?D3 HSE MY05 Auto

ATR's are even better under a Disco3 than in the garage
After about 10,000 miles all have 8.5mm - 9mm of tread left - certainly seem to be wearing alot better than Scorpions so far!

Why?is there any special procedure to' put them on?
No clue what it is.
Do we need wheel alignment after fitting,or a special way to' lift the CAR or other?
Mine will be' done by a normal tyre guy,not dealer, don't know if he knows the CAR.should i be' worried about it?tx figuring it out!!!!
