For no reason I thought I post a Pic of the common tyres used on D3's for off tarmac jaunts

Bottom General Tyre AT2 255/60/18
Mid GoodYear MTR 255/55/19

Great thread! I'm considering getting some rims and off road tyres, just not sure what size and brand to choose yet.
Which tyre and size would people recommend for pure offroading? It has to be one that can handle both gravel, rock and mud. Should I keep sticking to 19 inch rims or is 18 or 17 beneficial?

And keep the pictures comming, nothing's like a nice off road tyre! Smile

You need to watch the load ratings on the Grabber UHP's
Loading on all 17's, 18's and most 19's are under rated.
Best loading is for 20's.

the ones that are ok for loading are:-
285/45/19 - 111w xl [profile poss too low?]
285/50/20 - 112v
295/45/20 - 114v xl
I run with the latter so absolutely no load issues.
