at 35k i am now getting a distinct numb bum from the disco 3 (specifically left cheek if u ask )
felt like the bolster was digging in but now i suspect the join between bolster and seat cushion may be sagging.
if i apply hand pressure it generally feels ok and doesnt look like a failed cushion but its starting to really cheese me off and affects me after only 20 or so miles.
should say that i am ....errrr, slim and only 85kg so LR cant blame me.
any ideas or common problems ?
cheers TDV6 HSE 2008.....as kindly specced right up by LR as demo ! fridge....yeh why not ?

"commonish" problem. Unfortunately the D3 seats are not the most comfortable. I got the bases on my old S spec changed under warrenty, but after changing to my 09 XS with leather, these are no more comfy (numb ass after two hours driving).
Cushion maybe?

As soon as your 'left' cheek is getting numb, stop, get out, remove bulging wallet from left rear pocket, place in right rear pocket, continue driving until 'right' cheek is starting to show similar symptoms
When both cheeks are completely numb, look for nearest fuel station, fill up fuel tank - this normally cures the problem Never get mad - get even !!

I only had this problem after the kids had been playing with the seat settings, once I figured out what it was, I siply pressed memory button1 and all was how it should be.
I've driven 4-1/2 hours non stop in the D3 before (One fuel stop to the next) and not had a problem. In fact, I think that the D3 is the ONLY car that I get out of from long journeys, feeling like I've only just got in it! Bodsys Brake Bible

I concur with Bodsy on this one, when I drove the D3 to Greece from the UK (17 hours in total to the ferry in Italy), not once did it feel uncomfortable... Was like being sat in a comfy armchair as far as I could tell, but then again I was used to a Mini Cooper S 8)

I can only assume that you fellas are a little lighter than me then
And that the positioning on the leccy seats has a better range than the lowly manual one, with no front edge adjustment.

Funnily Al, I too find that the front end adjustment (or tilt) of the pan most important on the "comfiness" factor (even on office chairs where lack of is a real pain after 10-12 hours )
