Unknown sign??
Hi friends just got a new sign on the odometer on the left of the outside temperature display, a sign I have never seen before on my disco 4 before, mine is a 12 my and has done 7000kms. Today the outside temperature was minus and when I started the disco this morning I saw that sign and my front and rear windscreen defroster were automatically on, don't know what that sign means but during the day when the outside temperature was 4 degree the sign disappeared, I don't even know how to download photos in this site otherwise I would have put it here. Can anyone guess what it might be??

Was it the snowflake? If so, it is just warning you that it's cold and the roads might be icy. It comes on below about 4°C.

brilliant!
It's a pain to have to keep turning off the headed windows each time you start the car in winter.

Does seem like madness and I am not looking forward to that bit of D4 ownership. I park my D3 under cover and hardly use the window heaters.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Just press the Auto button in the middle to turn off both front & rear screens - needs to be done each trip.MY12 D4 HSE Ipanema Sand

Still seems a strange thing to automate. In the few occasions a year that you cannot see out of the window, press the button.
Not sure why LR think we may forget that we have a heated screen. Why draw such amperage out the battery when not needed? Why place the alternator under extra load? Why suffer the mpg hit when the screens are operating?
Questions, questions.
Can this feature be turned off in the ccf with a MSV2?Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Mine doesn't do this... pressing the auto button just puts the air-con back to auto - doesn't effect heated screens?

That was like the woman who went into a garage and asked for a litre of '710'.
