2014 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Auto Baltic Blue

Unleaded fill

On the way to Torquay for weekend with family I (like a tosser) put 35 litres of unleaded in my TDV6.
As I was in Ilminster phoned Yeovil Land Rover for advice -
they said

do not turn key in ignition
phone Land Rover assisstance, ask them to send out J and V recovery (good service within 35 minutes)
Recover the car to Yeovil Land Rover

did the above

Car sorted within 3 hours of arriving at the dealership - cost Â£160.00 (including Â£20.00 diesel !)
Fantatstic service ! - esp from Doug and Brian
Also got a free lift into town whilst waiting (in Nicks' newish auto V6, very smooth compared to my 05 manual) and free bus pass to get back or they could pick us up

I have had nothing but good from this dealer and would stongly advise anyone to use them Illegitimi Non Carborundum

Did they tell you how much it would have cost if you HAD turned the key......... your Â£160 would soon be double that.... oh yes, and add a zero on the end (or higher!)

Good call you made there Saci. By having the presence of mind to not turn the key you did yourself a huge favour. Nice job.

Nick seems very keen to lend his car out these days. Do you think he's angling to get a new one?

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
