I've just purchased 2nd hand HSE with 12k's on the clock, there has to be some up side to the GFC!!! 
Just wondering whether we can up grade to heated seat just be buying the switches? I thought i had seen somewhere on this forum about doing such a thing. I think it was said the seats already have the heating elements in them. i have had abit of a search for the related threads but no luck. if someone has any info or push me in the right direction that would be great. Thanks from Australia

it is possible but not straight forward
Yoiu have to upgrade the HEVAC unit which is the unit with the heater controls etc to one with heated seat switch type and i'm afraid you still have to fit the heater pads as they are not fitted as standard
Anyway, what the chuff do people in the southern hemisphere need heated seats for...southern softies TLO has left the building.......
