URGENT I NEED MECANIC for lr4 parking activator
My parking brake won't release , I heard a loud screech like the cogs weren't engaging now my lr4 is stuck on the drive, I've tried to pull the emergency cable under the cupholders but no joy, my wife's giving me hell because of course it's my fault , but anyone has any idea how to realease them apart from me cutting the handbrake cables please advise, plus if anyone knows of a good mechanic then happy days , my tel number is 07881460273 cheers everyone

URGENT I NEED MECANIC for lr4 parking activator
I need a Land Rover mechanic who is competitive, and local to Land Rover solihull ? To be fair considering I live next door to LR there might be a chap who works there who can help me get this parking brake disengaged,,, I heard a loud screech from pulling up my electronic parking brake and now it's stuck in park and just screams a loud noise when I try to turn it off, vehicle will not move, must have good pads at least, but seriously I need to disengaged so I can take it wherever to be fixed,I tried pulling emergency cable under cupholders but no luck there, I haven't a decent trolley jack to get under to see if I can release these blooming brakes, as you can imagine according to the wife it's my fault ?? Lol, my number is 07881460273,, thanks all if you read this

Not that I've had to do it myself yet but I've heard said many times on here that you have to pull like crazy to release it, pull as hard as you can and then pull even harder! Are you using the jack handle to pull the cable? Good luck.Stu

You've tried that.
And re your wife blaming you, of course it's your fault, you bought the car didn't you?
Looks like you've joined the other LR group.

You've got to pull the release cable very hard to make it release.
Put a big screwdriver or some such thing through the loop & tug, making sure the car won't roll away when it releases.... Mitsubishi Outlander Phev 4H 2018.

The cable felt really free, like it wasn't connected, I pulled it for a while even thinking it was going to break away the loop , thanks for your advise
