USB Input Failure

Hi, I have been using the USB function on the ICE system since the D4 was new, always worked perfectly until recently when it became more prone to error in reading the USB sticks (more than one, and they all previously worked ok).
Anyone had issues with this and suggest anything to look at, it appears to be a connection problem as opening and closing the cubby lid can cause it to disconnect.

Shame cause I really like this function.

Cheers Dex

sometimes the USB isn't recognised but after a turn off and back on again it does.

i just presumed it was typical IT issues.

if closing the lid is causing it the connector cable may have split wire inside?

if that can be demonstrated by open closing etc... i would think it would be covered under warranty?

I finally got round to taking the car in to have this looked at. They're not sure what the issue is so plan to change the cubby box modulefirst, if that doesn't cure it it's a full ICE unit changeout which apparently will take up to 2 days.

They'll maybe find and fix the dash rattle while they're in there!

When the new iPhone comes out with a different dock, we'll all need new wiring in there anyway! Whistle

Now fixed, nice FL2 Auto loaner for a couple of days, good service and communication from Town and County Aberdeen Thumbs Up. Not sure what they replaced in the end but I suspect it was the cubby box connection module, it's working and no new rattles Razz

Even the old rattle has gone after I emptied all the stuff out the centre cubby, doorpockets and glove boxes Whistle I think it was the tin of Markies mints!

Back to 32gb of fine sounds at the touch of a button.
