Not quite sure what you mean by "how it works" ? Do you mean how you operate it, or what the program actually does. If the latter :-

DivX Plus Converter

In addition to high-quality output of DivX (AVI, DIVX) and DivX Plus® (H.264 video in MKV container) video for your PC and DivX Certified® devices, Converter now adds MP4 conversion to make sure your videos play well on iPhone, iPad and beyond. And with hardware acceleration, you can expect high-performance encoding that doesn’t overload your CPU or drain your battery.

Designed for quick and easy conversion of the most popular video formats found on the web, Converter also lets you tweak encoding settings (resolution, file size and bitrate), combine multiple videos into one file, create a trick play track for smooth FF/RW, and add multiple subtitles and audio tracks. Add support for MPG, TS, VOB and SVCD files with the MPEG-2/DVD Plug-in.

Sorry if this is not what you meant Thumbs Up

Thanks for the reply, but what I meant was, once DIVX is downloaded (onto desktop for example) and the window comes up, I presume you press the + sign and get the video off iTunes. Then what? If I want to convert from iTunes format to the format I need to get it onto my USB stick in order to play in car what are the next steps? To a dumbo like me it isn't obvious Big Cry

Sorry If I'm not explaining it very well but in the office at present not in front of PC at home Sad

Open up Divx Plus and, as you say, click the "+ open files". Select what file you want from iTunes. You then set whatever format you want to convert it to using the output profile box, then at the bottom of the page select the output folder, I normally select downloads.

Once the converted file is in the downloads folder, put your USB in the computer and right click on the film you want, scroll down to "send to" then select "USB" Thumbs Up

Forgot to say I personally don't use iTunes.

From memory, I can't see a box which asks the format required Confused I want it in Avi I think but couldn't see that, only some numbers.

I think I need to sit in front of my PC and then reply properly!! Embarassed

At the top of the screen there is a banner with 3 options, from the left, "start" then "add files" and "select output profiles". If you click on the "select output profiles" you then get a drop down menu which lets you select from +HD, HD 1080p, HD 720p, Home theatre, Mobile, Iphone or Ipad. Each option tells you the format that it will convert to.

Hope this helps. Thumbs Up

I don't have a D4 but with what was said earlier, I believe it plays mp4.

I've done some testing and commented here http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic90126.html

Mine didn't like .mp4, but avi encoded with divx and mp3 audio on a FAT32 formatted USB does work. Mot exactly pain free or straightforward let alone plug and play.
