Using piggy back fuse behind glove box to power micro usb

Evening all

Probably a stupid question but what the hell I’ll ask anyway Smile

I’ve got a piggy back fuse to allow a fuses spur to power a tiny box that converts amps to make it suitable for micro usb. 2A. This is then going to power my wireless magnet charger for the phone. So far so good.

There is a bullet connector to get life to the unit however I’m not sure on the best place to get tapped into a neutral.

Not much metal around there that lends itself to the task. Lots of wires obviously.

Any help much appreciate. As usual, sat here wondering why it couldn’t have just been a five minutes job lol. Thinking back though, I’m not sure what job ever was !

Cheers. PC

I’m not sure where you’re fitting but is there no bolts available that go into bodywork nearby?

Sorry, just noticed the title. I used one of the cubby lid locating screws. Worked fine. Thumbs Up

Got it hooked up. Just trying to get appropriate fuse now for ign live. Tried the drivers seat but waited for a while and it didn’t turn off. Any idea on others ?

I also used cubby hole screw for ground, and interestingly found plenty of fuses for accessories that arent fitted. I used the centre console cool box fuse (which isnt and has never been fitted!) for my dash cam.
Not sure why LR fully loaded the fuseboard I guess one size fits all instead of wasting time thinking about what needs a fuse fitting & what doesn’t?
