Using Tomtom Go 700

I will be taking delivery of my Discovery 3 on Friday afternoon and, in anticipation, I have bought a Tomtom sat nav. I have been using it in the past few weeks with the windscreen attachment and it has worked well as a hands free device for my mobile phone. However, in the Discovery I will not need the windscreen attachment as it will sit in the space at the centre of the dash board.

A problem I have come across is that the sat nav device needs to be on the windscreen attachment for the hands free function to work.

I wonder if anyone else has come across this problem when using without the windscreen attachment and if so, have you been able to get around it.

Thanks.

I think you will find that the tom tom also has a fixed dash bracket with wiring loom which when fitted will mute your radio when a call comes in and adjust's the screen brightness when the head lights are turned on.

check the tom tom accessories that are available. Wink
