My blackout hood for under $8.00
I just plasti dipped my hood with one can of Plastidip, it came out amazing, and if I don't want it anymore, I just peel it off One word of advice when applying, make sure you go heavy on the edges and peel off tape immediately to have straight non jagged lines. I sprayed about 4-5 coats and then peeled back tape.

It stops the sun reflecting into your eyes when driving. Of course that phenomenon only occurs in countries that get sun, unlike you poor lot in the UK

Exactly it also protects my hood in the winter months from rock dings and salt. Planning on getting lights on my expedition rack soon and the blackout stops glare.Narpy's Grill Mod, Suspension Rods, Ultra guage, wrangler Goodyear duratracs 265/60/18, new thermostat, diff oils changed, brake switch new, aluminum rack floor, LED driving lights in foglights, rear camera, just need gvif unit, next on list! Don't think it stops the glare sufficiently to make that much of a difference ...you will be disappointed 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Well in only cost me $8 to do. If I don't like it I can just peel it off.Narpy's Grill Mod, Suspension Rods, Ultra guage, wrangler Goodyear duratracs 265/60/18, new thermostat, diff oils changed, brake switch new, aluminum rack floor, LED driving lights in foglights, rear camera, just need gvif unit, next on list! The lights on the rack lights will just flood everything including the blackout You could argue the there is a marginal difference but its negligible tbh.
Spent a couple of weeks in Morocco in the original Stormtrooper in 2007...putting bigtime lights at the front is far more effective IMO

Not to say rack lights don't have any benefits beyond the hood mind 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021
