AFAIK the D4 is only available in diesel and automatic in the UK now.
It does exist and it is built at Solihull just not for us. I think it's shipped to Russia and USA.Ian

When you spend this much on a car, do you really hassle about such a small difference in fuel cost per month? 278 KW is fantastic!

Someone posted on the forum several months ago that they had go their hands on one over here in the UK, I think it was direct from LR. It was used, but failt new.. Cant find the post now, but I'm sure someone can. There was a few pics of it, esp under the bonnet. Ring bells with anyone else?Man with no D3 anymore, but cant leave the forum....how sad.

In the thread there was some debate at air intakes X2 if I remember ?
And it being symmetrical in the engine bay with the two air boxes ?
Or am I thinking about something else !Only dead fish go with the Flow !

I think there was a debate about how genuine the D4 was, until someone ran the reg no through the Car tax web site, which did indeed show it to be genuine.Man with no D3 anymore, but cant leave the forum....how sad.

Hi,
I own a LR4 5.0l V8 here in Germany. It's imported from the US.
But since 2010 it is possible for german dealers to order the V8 from LR with all german/european market options. But there is no V8 on the website - you have to ASK your dealer.
Seems (as you can read in the linked threads) that it is the same in the UK, but you have to pay a deposit...
The V8 is a very great engine which (here in Germany) has a fuel consumption betweens 22 and 10 mpg.

There's a rhd D4 5.0 V8 HSE for sale now. Saw it yesterday on the LR approved use website. IIRC, 2009 and about £36k.
Assumed it was made for export to another RHD country (Aus. maybe) and somehow ended up staying or repatriated.
Well, I saw that one... but when you get to speak to the dealer about it (Hunters) it's NOT RHD, not British spec. It's apparently US spec car pre production pilot build car (hence the '09 plate). They haven't a clue about it... You can get a 2010 car in the US for $40k.____
