vehicle health check video
had my first service today at 9400 miles, which was a freebie..got home to find an e mail from the dealer with a video of the mechanic doing a tyre check on my car as part of the health check...thought it a bit over the top to be honest....half a dozen d4 on the forecourt for sale and a 2015 defender for £62 grand..

My stealer does this. The last video was very patronising. One fault was that the traffic news wasn't working.
The technician (or mechanic in my world) slowly showed me how to turn it on with a close up of him pressing the correct button. Great, except he never checked that pressing the button actually meant it worked, which it still doesn't.Man with no D3 anymore, but cant leave the forum....how sad.

After my last service I was sent a video of a 'Health Check' which was carried out at the same time !
It consisted of a hand opening the bonnet, being held open for a few seconds and then being closed ???
Some check I reckon

I also got a video emailed to me showing tyres and brakes etc, they told me brake pads were 20% worn yet never mentioned the 80% still left on them. Wonder how many customers instruct them to renew.02 Defender 90 TD5

Doesn't that mean there was only 1.5mm of tread left before the tyres became illegal? I'd expect that to be flagged as amber, especially with winter just around the corner. Your dad now knows that the tyres will need replaced sooner rather than later - personally, I'd do it before the end of November and then have confidence in the tyres for the winter.2014 - D4 2010 HSE Nara Bronze

With the miles he does now, that tread will last him to the Spring no problem.Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets! Member of Gloucestershire & Worcestershire 4x4 Response.

Fair enough. I know I'd like to be advised during a service / MOT if the tread was that low, but I do higher mileage.2014 - D4 2010 HSE Nara Bronze
