Will D3 Tow Electrics fit D4?
Have a put a deposit on a 2015 D4, but no tow electrics, will the twin set on my Discovery 3 fit and plug straight in tot eh D4?
I fitted the electrics on the D3, so straight forward to remove
Cheers

Iggy, hope you get further than I did. I couldn't work out how to get the electrics out. I was exhausted, it was well after midnight and I couldn't work out how to get the wire & connectors through the bumper bits. They got abandoned, hanging out a bit.

Hi DSL
On mine there’s a connection with 3 plugs at the inner side of the bumper, these are fixed to a plate and locate with slide fixings these 3 connectors then attaches to another bit of the tow bar loom which goes through the body with large grommets as a seal then they connect to the corresponding connectors behind the light, quite fiddly unless you remove the bumper
Cheers OJ

They deffo defeated me. No way was I going to take the bumper off, no room in the car for that. Unfortunately every time I look at those pics I see something more I could have taken off her.

Yep, she died what she did best, on Road Trip in NW Norway a long, long way from home.

That’s a great pity it was so far away, what eventually happened to her, meant to say you didn’t need the bumper everything comes out through the crossmember in reverse order end up with just the loom and plugs

She was scrapped up there. AA flew me back, one day to catch up on sleep then 4 days driving to get there, strip & empty her, then 4 days driving back. D4's first Road Trip.

Lucky I had the D4, I'd have struggled with the Jazz.

Gratuitious RT pic. She's got her next trip already sorted.

You know what you're doing, I was on a steep learning curve. Generally if it wouldn't disconnect I just cut it out. A fair few damaged ends of loom bits on her.

Iggy,
Seen your pics in the other post... superb looking motor ! has all the bits that I had on my D4 so you will be very happy, hope it goes through for you !
DSL, would have loved to have had the A-frame bumper protector !! would fit nicely over my winch bumper...
