not as clear as that methinks … my first one had SDV6 on the car and TDV6 on the V5 when I bought it, but when I put my personal reg on it, V5 came back as an SDV6.
I think it was just the DVLA didn't have the options at the time the paperwork was created.

Thanks Adam. I have seen some D4's listed as SDV6 from 2010/11. Just confused that the car says TDV6 (Badge), the V5 says TDV6, but JLR says SDV6.

'Tis confusing - I'm clearly wrong on the SDV / MY piece.
Mines a March 2010 HSE TDV6, so one of the earlier ones

As i've only got ythe green new owner slip, see what the new V5 says, as it had a private plate on it, until i bought it.

Could be the T is no DPF, S is with DPF.

Possibly but it was all a bit of a dogs dinner when the D4 first came out - some of the early Commercials and Lower Specs had the 2.7 engine from the D3 - which worried me for a bit until I checked it on the V5 when that came through
