Vibration at higher speed.....

Can anyone help.

I get a vibration at about 70 which is becoming a pain.

I have had the car checked and a track rod end replaced but no joy.

I have also had balancing done ( although they didn't do the 4 wheels ).

Could it be the alignment?

I have general grabber at2's on the wheels.

Any thoughts???

My first thought would be balance, but where do you get the vibration from?

Is it through the steering wheel?

One thing it could be is vibration that can be caused from the gearbox do your revs surge? Have you got an auto box?

Vibration is mainly body not so much through steering.

It's an auto but why would they only balance two front wheels. Sorry not to genned up on these kind of things.

Cadman
Get the rears balanced as well, sometimes an out
of balance rear can put a vibration though the floor of the car.
Front wheels out of balance usually comes through the steering wheel

If track rod end is replaced should alignment be done as well.

Thanks.

I replaced mine yesterday (put the new one in as accurately as i could)
and had a wheel alignment done straight after.
The w/a man said it was toeing in 8mm.
So yes, get a W/A done

I had loads of vibration through the steering wheel at 70mph - had the wheel alignment done and lower front suspension bushes replaced and all gone. Thumbs Up

Hi

Got the balancing done on back two on Saturday and made a big difference.

Noticed I had uneven wear on inner from wheels so am booking in for an alignment to hopefully get that sorted.

Cheers
