I called several local shop about shaft balancing, seems like only two of them have the proper equipment to mount the front CV joint flange, they asked for nearly 200 Canadian dollar for checking and balancing, I also have been told if the problem is from the rear UJ, then they can't fix it and no money back cause it's a stacked UJ. I kind of have a feeling, the vibration is from the rear UJ as I could not find a missing weight on this brand new GKN shaft. I would try to let the UK company to pay for the return shipping.

If you are close to Calgary or Edmonton, check some of the hot rod or speed shops, they usually know machine shops who specialize in drive train balancing at reasonable prices... Just a thought, but maybe I'm off base here...

I am in Calgary, don't realize there is an active member so close to me...
I called some shops, they all pointed me to two driveline shops, one of them don't have the proper machine, the other one asked for almost CAD200... And all of them told me, they cannot replace a stacked UJ.

I don't quite understand but sometimes new drivetrains have to be balanced in the vehicle per which is painfully long and is in excruciating detail. There are also a few unique uses for video action cams mounted on the chassis underneath and aimed at the driveline like this one. Just Google "driveline balancing" for some ideas, we seem to have 3 shops here in Red Deer, but I'm sure each would want about $200 to do the job. Of course some folks do use the "hose clamp" method, but when I had my hot rod Volvo about 20 years ago, I had Alberta Driveline in Edmonton balance the shortened Ford driveshaft, cost was about $150 then. My LR3 has a dead engine which I'll be dealing with in a few weeks, can't get underneath right now because air suspension has dropped, but we are trailering it out to a friend's who has got a drive-on car hoist. Then I'd be able to answer more questions for you if needed. That driveline according to my manual is CV joint at front and in the middle where the support bearing is, and a regular U-joint at the rear differential, so quite expensive. Sorry I can't be of more help...

Just drove to Kelowna and back with the new engine in our LR3 and I remembered that on my Nissan a wheel weight came off and had very similar symptoms to yours. Did you find out what was wrong? 1967 Ford Bronco 289 V8 (1968)
