I'm having problem with decoding my VIN.
Digit number 8, engine, is '6', indicating that I have a 300TDI  The 300TDI runs really smooth!
It should have been a '1' should'nt it?
My VIN is SALLAAA649Axxxxxx
Anyone? 2009 HSE PP+ Galway Green

I've done that.
If you see the figures about the engine, you have the choice of '1', '4' and '5'.
Mine has '6' as the 8th figure...........  2009 HSE PP+ Galway Green

Does Norway have a slightly different specification TDV6 perhaps? 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

ISTR the VIN is stamped on the chassis somewhere too, might be worth checking if that's the same  The End

Doesn't BBSSPY have access to all the vin codes etc? Not sure how up to date he gets them? Bodsys Brake Bible

Edited to my original post.
Ive insatlled this months microcat and the vin is as it should be, i can see the full spec of this car with no problems and it is listed as a TDV6 not a 300tdi lol .
Intrestingly built 06/18/2008
Its a shame landrover dont update there paperwork to suite new vins as they are made, it would save confusion sometimes.

Update on this:
I asked Land Rover Norway about this '6' in my VIN and the answer I got was that my car is equipped with DPF. All with a '1' was'nt. 2009 HSE PP+ Galway Green

If You have a look at the first post in this topic, You'll see that my problem is (was) the 8th digit:
Decoded at Cliftons webpage:
Engine type: 2.5 litre 300Tdi diesel (model 23L)
I do have a TDV6 2009 HSE PP+ Galway Green
