Voice Assistance-Does It Work On Second-Hand Vehicles ?

I'm really looking forward to trying out the Voice Assistance when I pick up my D4. I know some people don't like it but it sounds a real buzz to a Technophile like me

HOWEVER, talking to a friend at the weekend, his neighbour bought a 2 year old VW (Passat I think) with a similar system and couldn't get it to work. went back, under warranty, to the dealers and their reply was 'It's too old and can't learn a new owner'

Surely not

Tell me I'm not going to experience anything like this on a 3 year old D4

Works just fine on MY13 as well. Just pick your user (1 or 2) and away you go

I did find that bothering to go through the Voice Learn session was worth it - made it a lot more dependable.

VOICE TRAINING
This is a feature designed to enable the system
to better recognise the vocal characteristics of
a user, once the training has been completed.
To carry out Voice training:
1. Select Setup from the Home menu.
2. Select Voice and from the Setup menu.
3. Select Voice training from the Voice
settings menu.
4. Select User 1 or User 2, to start the
training.
5. Follow the on-screen and audible
instructions.
The training session can be cancelled at any
time by touching the on-screen pop-up or by
