| Voice command doesn't see phone anymore |

The past couple of days I've tried to use voice command to make calls with my iPhone, it says there is no handset connected. The phone is definately connected b/c if I dial a number manually or receive a call, it goes through the system. I've tried unpairing and re-pairing but that doesn't seem to help.
Anybody have any thoughts as to why the voice command would not see the phone but everything else seem to work?

Deleting the bluetooth pairing and re-pairing fixed it for me each time with my Nokia 
As you've tried that; it's not very helpful I'm afraid.
Worth considering a car battery disconnect (following shutdown instructions first of course) then shorting the two leads (not the terminals!)? Might reset the Bluetooth unit in the car. Maybe. Dr. Ian Malcolm:

ah...didn't think of that. I think i'll try it.
Before I do....
1) Does this process erase system settings like satnav destinations, voice tags for phone, radio presets, etc?
2) Not sure what you mean by proper shutdown routine or "shorting the leads"
