Voice Recognition System...

Flushed with the success of getting the system operational - just by talking to it very quietly at the suggestion in another thread...I thought I was making some headway - until this evening.
Pulled the steering wheel button & no bleep......Kylie's gone

Having changed no settings I tried a few things - the voice system actually works i.e. it turns the radio/CD/navigation on/off etc & the dashboard display show its looking for speech etc

Just no bleep & voice feed back also navigation voice (also Kylie) has gone....
is the system beggared
or
is there some system setting that restores the voice
or
is there some system reset somewhere

I have searched the manual & found nothing at all
the Nav screen settings show the English voice
 BREXIT - done properly.

PeanutBob your Completely Unnecessary quote has been removed, click this link to learn why!

You can only talk to her quietly for a short time. If you remain in this quiet, subservient mode, then she will surely will leave you for more demanding roles..whip her in I'd say!! Bit of leathering never did anyone any harm....that's why I chose the HSE!

Have you looked at the radio display when she should be chatting? When the display changes to show she's talking, you may be able to up the volume, which may have been accidentally turned right down.

Transgenic tomato anyone?

No need to try and catch her whilst she's talking, Nav (and other voice volumes) can be set by holding down the 'note' button on the IHU for a few seconds, the same one you use to change bass, treble etc.

Kylie's voice restored

Last evening parked up & Kylie had gone....first post lists all I did to restore her
Got in this morning switched on & voice fully restored - without resetting anything ?

I did stop the car, engine & lock doors last night - it didnt make any change
So either Kylies voice has a gremlin or there is ome setting that resets itself
...it could be an overuse facility i.e. the genetic female silence response is programmed in
...maybe there is a nag setting as well
Begger me
 BREXIT - done properly.
