| Voice Recognition System question |

Evening all,
Can someone help me with my voice recognition system? The system works well with the bluetooth phone connection but does not register any commands for the CD or Navigation systems. Do these need to be added to the Voice software or should they just work? The car is a 2007 TDV6 SE model. I reported this to my dealer who have changed the microphone (which seemed to be working ok with the phone) which has made no difference.
Sorry if this topic has been covered before, I had a quick look through the threads buit couldn't see anything. If it's not a Landrover I am not interested!

I think they have to be enabled Wiggs did it for me Along with 4x4 screen.
Sure he will be along later to advise

Not standard on an SE model ...at the moment your voice commands are stored in the bluetooth module ( hence why you can only talk to the phone )
This need to be changed so that the voice commands come from the navagation unit ...this will then give you voice control over nav , radio , cd , notepad and the bluetooth .
Not something the dealer can do im afraid ...but i can  G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Thats why for the past 2 and a half years i have also not been able to get it to work on my SE! Ill stop sitting for hours now speaking to the voice command in all sorts of voices and accents!  '16 Volvo XC90 R Design Bursting Blue (Vera)

Sorry for the late reply but I have been working away.
You would have thought LR would have put something in the instruction manual like "if enabled" instead of leading you on thinking you have the full works.
It would be nice to have the system upgraded to it's full poitential along with the 4x4 screen. What are we looking at cost wise Wiggs?

I must admit to having a few goes at getting the voice command to control the audio etc without success. It does work on the phone thoigh so I was a bit puzzled. I was going to spend a bit of time with it at some point trying to get it to work even though it's not exactly a big deal. Now I know not to waste my time, although I am also a little intrigued about the possibilities of getting it to work.
Care to advise whats required and any costs involved?

To enable the voice control , the car configuration file needs to be changed . This involves plugging in some equiptment into your car and changing it .
Are you just interested in the voice control or 4x4 info / off road sat nav aswell ? G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
