In that case it means the external lights are in.

The symbol means auxiliary heater. But the car has had a software update

No, not a problem.

There is a thread on here (somewhere - can't find it now) about updating the CCF so this "warning" light goes off.

Some people have modified there cars to put this light on when there headlights are on as when on auto you dont know if there on or off. It was originally to advise that the aux heater was on

I've just created the same situation for myself my updating the body CCF with IPC My07(+), when I should have used IPC My07+ pre 2007. For the moment (and now I know it's not an actual fault) I will see if the red light is more annoying than knowing when the lights have been automatically turned on or not.

The good thing is you havent damaged anything.

The instruction manual on the Gap site is very useful and tells you what can go wrong and how to fix it.

Just done it again with the correct CCF. No more Webasto / headlight warning confusion.
